Pay plans

Use Accounting > Driver payroll > Pay plans to define reusable rules for how drivers are paid for completed loads.

Plan list

The list shows each plan, its pay method, and whether it is current, upcoming, or historical. Open a plan to review its setup, assigned drivers, and version history.

Compensation summary

The summary explains the plan in payroll language. It shows the selected method, base pay, accessorial pay, additional items, and any setup warnings.

Use Apply standard setup when you want Axivoy to add the usual pay items for the selected method. Warnings do not stop saving, but review them before assigning drivers.

Plan details

• Plan name identifies the template for payroll staff.
• Worker type records whether the plan is for a W-2 employee or 1099 contractor.
• Compensation method describes the main approach, such as cents per mile, revenue percentage, flat rate, salary, hybrid, or custom.

Pay items

Pay items are the ways a driver earns on a load. Common examples are mileage pay, revenue percentage, flat-load pay, minimum pay, stop pay, detention, and layover.

For mileage pay, choose whether the rate applies to total, loaded, empty, or separately rated loaded and empty miles. Review the summary after adding items so you can see which base amounts are compared and which extras are added.

Rate changes and locked rules

Use Schedule upcoming rate change for a future rate. Enter the first date the new rate should apply.

If a rule has already been used in payroll, it is locked to protect past statements. Create a new plan version for future loads instead of changing the historical rule.

Team pay

Use Team Pay when two or more drivers share a load.

1. Enable Team Pay on the plan.
2. Set the rate for each team position on base-pay items.
3. Choose how stop, detention, and layover pay should be split.
4. Save the Team Pay settings and review the summary.

Both primary team positions need a base-pay setup before Team Pay can be used reliably.

Plan version history

Use this section to see which plan applies on a given date or to create a future version. Avoid backdating a plan when payroll has already been completed for that time. Axivoy will block changes that would alter locked payroll.

Who uses this plan

Every active driver needs pay-plan coverage for the dates they complete loads. Assign drivers and set Starts on carefully. A gap means loads completed during that gap cannot be calculated for pay.

Starting a new assignment may close an overlapping older assignment. Review the driver's timeline before saving.

Preview pay on a load

Use Preview pay on load to test the plan against a selected load and driver. You can compare two dates when reviewing a rate change.

Preview results are estimates only and are not saved to payroll. If the preview warns about missing miles, driver assignment, or team position, correct that information before relying on the amount.
